who we are

piesmiths began with one person, a rolling pin, and an obsession with doing things properly.

after a cooking obsession that developed throughout lockdown I (dan) started running pop-ups and I realised I loved making food for other people to enjoy. then out of boredom one day I made my first pie and after that everything changed. there’s something timeless and comforting about a well-made pie - flaky pastry, deep flavour, no fuss. I started making them in small batches to deliver to the local community and before long, what started as a side project turned into a full-time pie-making operation.

the goal was never to reinvent the wheel - just to make pies that were genuinely good. honest, handmade food that feels like home. that’s what piesmiths is all about.
